Dear Nigerian Youth: The Time for Change Is Now
Nigeria, our beloved country, is blessed with resources, talents, and the strength of her youthful population. Yet, every day, millions of young Nigerians wake up to the same struggle no job after graduation, poor electricity, bad roads, and leaders who forget the people once they win elections.
This is a call from Tunji Ojolowo (Horain), leading the Concerned Young Citizens of Nigeria (CYCN). It's time we stand up and say, "Enough is enough!" Not with violence, but with our voice, our vote, and our unity. This is how we change Nigeria, practical solutions for practical problems.
"If we no fix our home, nobody go fix am for us. The youth must take charge now."
- Tunji Ojolowo (Horain)
See the Real Problems We Face Today:
- No jobs even after NYSC: Many end up riding bikes or japa abroad.
- Electricity that is not steady, making it hard for small businesses to grow.
- Healthcare is broken: Simple sickness dey kill people because hospitals lack equipment.
- Poor transportation: roads are bad, transport prices dey high.
- Our universities teach theory: No practical skill to get real job in today’s world.
- PDP and APC just dey rotate power: No real change for the masses.
- Youth voices are loud on social media but quiet at the polls where change really starts.
CYCN Is Here with Solutions
At CYCN, we’re pushing a 7-Point Agenda to tackle these problems one by one. Not just talk, but action:
- Healthcare: Build better hospitals and make healthcare affordable for all Nigerians.
- Education: Change our school system to teach practical, job-ready skills like tech, tailoring, and agriculture.
- Infrastructure: Fix roads, electricity, and housing, not just promises but actual delivery.
- Transportation: Free rides for seniors, discounts for kids, and make transport affordable again.
- Electricity: 24/7 power to support industries and remote jobs so our youth stop running abroad.
- Social Welfare: Set up support programs for job seekers, farmers, and small businesses.
- Housing: Build smart cities and restructure building trades to create jobs and affordable homes.
Our vision is simple, by 2031, let the youth lead this nation. Why not? Enough of the old system that fails us. If INEC needs to change, we push for that. If the laws need to change, we push for that too. No fear!
Dear youth, look around your corner, the struggle is real but so is our power. If we unite and stay focused, we can turn this country around. The time is now, not tomorrow. Let’s rise up as Concerned Young Citizens of Nigeria and own our future!
